MTN Uganda Limited v Ezee Money Uganda Limited

Court of Appeal · 2026 · Subscribers

The decision establishes the meaning of "communication services" under the UCC Act to by limiting it to operators licensed or licensable under that Act holding that it would be a stretch to suggest that every business whose operations runs on telecom platforms is involved in the communications sector. It is also illustrative on unlawful interference in contractual relations and provides useful guidance on the computation of damages in competition cases.
